    The International Airport of Barcelona (known as El Prat de Llobregat or Aeroport de Barcelona) is 13 Km. to the Southwest of the city.

    How to reach from the international airport of Barcelona to Hotel Princesa Sofia:

    To reach the Hotel from the Airport, you could take a Taxi (15 minutes) or come by train, which leaves you at the Estación de Sants train station (30 min). From there to the hotel, you only have to take line 3 of the metro in the direction of Zona Universitaria and get off at the Maria Cristina Station.

    The Barcelona Bus Turístic (Tour Bus) has three different routes to take you around the city, so you can discover all its sights from the bus. You can get on and off as often as you want, using the same ticket, including changing your route. From Hotel Princesa Sofía, you could start by taking the blue line that stops in front of the Cam Nou (football stadium), just beside the Hotel, and that passes by such important sights as: La Pedrera, the Sagrada Familia (basilica), the Casa Batlló, the Park Güell, etc.

  • Puerto olímpico (Olympic Port)

    One of the most beautiful areas in Barcelona is the Olympic Port (known as Puerto Olímpico) of Barcelona which was built entirely for the 1992 Olympics. In the whole area made up by this incredible sport port, Barcelona offers its visitors a wide variety for leisure, since you will find at the port:

    • The Maremagno business district, with shops, restaurants, cinemas and the 3D Imax cinema.

    • The Barcelona Aquarium: There is a huge aquarium; it is highly recommended if you are travelling with children, as there is an underwater tunnel where you can see sharks in their own habitat and learn about all kinds of marine species.

    • You will be able to go on board the Golondrinas, which sails from one point of the port to the other.
